2. Is it difficult to learn SOLO-Prophylaxis?
For someone who has cleaned the teeth with a toothbrush their entire life, and changing to a completely different motion with the single tooth care, it might take a little while to get the right technique.
Hence, it generally takes two weeks, to get the new movement well controlled without mistake. The application of the SOLO-STIX requires at first to find the'entrances' into the dental spaces. Then the cleaning of the interdental space becomes routine within a few days.
3. Do I have to always use all sizes of the SOLO-STIX?
At the beginning of your SOLO training program everybody is exactly measured individually, according to your dental spaces to the size of the suitable SOLO-STIX.
Most patients need two to three different sizes to be able to maintain all space reliably free of bacteria.
4. Up to now I have regulary had scale and cleans done. Why should I now change to SOLO-Prophylaxis?
Tartar, discolorations and also bacteria are completely removed– the teeth are perfectly clean afterwards.
While it takes a few months for the tartar to redevelop and only a few weeks for the staining to restain…it only takes 24 hours for the harmful bacteria to reinvade. This makes clear professional teeth-cleaning is about cosmetics and not about dental health.
